Both Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) are good options. PHX is closer to the resort and offers a wider selection of airlines and flights. AZA is a smaller, quieter airport about 20 minutes farther from the resort and is served primarily by Allegiant.
The resort has plenty of activities on site, but there is also lots to explore around Phoenix and Scottsdale. December is a beautiful time to enjoy one of the area's popular hiking trails. You can also visit the Musical Instrument Museum, Brandon's favorite, wander through Old Town Scottsdale, or spend some time at the Desert Botanical Garden, Sofie's favorite.
